Emerald Bay July 10, 2004

The National Weather Service predicted 10 mile per hour winds and smooth and gentle sailing this day. We actually had winds upto 22 mph and sells breaking orver our bow most of the trip. A very wet ride as we beated against the wind for 5 hours.
It is obvious that the NWS forgot to look out the window that morning.
But the ride was worth it.

A bit dangerous with reefs and kelp beds to snag your prop but very nice. Best appoach from East of Indian Rock.

From the Air

We were moored on the first row from the beach so rowing over was a matter of minutes. The advantages of a small boat.

Catalina had a project to repopulate the bass. It worked!
