Boat is registered and insured.    Slip found at Larson's Marina which is in San Pedro.   This is the closest marina to the open ocean and is also connected to Long Beach via the safety of the break water.    This will prove very helpful in test trials this weekend.

Purchased a Nissan 3.5 HP outboard and it is at Min Mar for a check up to see if it can be modified for an external tank.   Chances are slim as it has no gas pump.    The motor weighs only 30 pounds and is very easy to secure to the motor mount on the transom.   This is a superb aquisition as it is small, light weight yet powerful and flexible for both sail boat and dinghy.

At least the dock is sturdy.  Some of the older marina in this area need a lot off work.  There is a hose attachement and a 20 amp electrical hookup for running an extension to a battery charger for my 12 volt system.   My lock box needs a new lid so I am keeping my tools in a bucket in the car.

The cleaning work is progressing.    Its take time and its just a matter of paying attention to detail.     The left side has yet to be done.   On the right the surfaces have been cleaned with Simple Green and the teak has been oiled with Orange oil.   The difference is night and day.    The floor will be cleaned last.      For the time being I am going to get some throw blankets to go over the cushions but these will have to be either replaced or recovered as they must have come with the boat in 1968.  Boat work is hard and even in the cool of the evening I have losts of drinking water to cool off and rehydrate myself.
